Become an Investor

This issue is being addressed by scientists, manufacturing companies, and investors from many countries. Over the past nine years, the global population has grown significantly: in October 2011, the number of inhabitants was approaching 7 billion, while in November 2020, it reached 7.827 billion people. The daily protein requirement for an adult is 80 grams, which amounts to 626,160 tons for the entire human population. This is an enormous figure, and when expressed in natural terms, it equates to 4.8 million cows, or 1.5 billion broilers, or 1.7 billion kilograms of soybeans per day, which is staggering in its scale!

The production of such large amounts of protein significantly increases greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to global warming; pollutes land and water resources with mineral fertilizers;

  • pollutes the environment with antibiotics and their metabolites (leading to antibiotic resistance in microorganisms);
  • requires additional water and land resources (which are limited, and there may come a day when they run out).

This is far from a complete list of the environmental issues associated with our healthy appetite and love for food proteins.

The demand for food in the modern world is enormous, and its shortage represents a serious problem.

Proteins play an extremely important role: they not only provide humans as a biological species with nutrients but also support the state structure and the existing way of life for all of humanity. Since traditional sources of protein are insufficient, the demand for alternatives is rising, which has become extremely attractive to investors.

One of the experts in the financial information market, Bloomberg, reported in July 2020 that venture capitalists more than doubled their investments in alternative protein producers in 2020.

Protein Consumption

Some are motivated by concerns about health, others by the trend of conscious consumption and the rapidly deteriorating environmental situation, while some are driven by cold calculation. And it's no surprise: by 2035, the alternative food market is expected to reach at least $290 billion, and under a positive scenario, the market could be twice as large. For comparison, in 2019, this market was worth less than $15 billion, and in 2016, less than $8 billion.

In the global research "Food for Thought," Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Blue Horizon report that by 2035, 9 out of 10 popular dishes could be made from alternative proteins at a similar cost. In other words, "full parity" of analog and animal products in terms of taste, texture, and price will reign.
Furthermore, the report by BCG and Blue Horizon mentions that by 2035, the supply of alternative protein will grow from the current 13 million tons annually to 97 million tons, or 11% of the total protein market. Under favorable conditions, this share could reach 22%.

Is Alternative Protein the Future?

Founded in 2009 in the USA, this startup received venture capital funding from GreatPoint Ventures, Obvious Corporation, Bill Gates, Biz Stone, Humane Society, and Tyson Foods. In 2013, the first products from Beyond Meat appeared on store shelves in the USA. In 2016, mass sales of plant-based burgers started through restaurants and retail chains, and to date, approximately 25 million burgers have been sold. In 2018, the company filed for an IPO to raise $100 million. As of 2020, Beyond Meat's market value is $8.3 billion.

The Largest Global Producer of Plant-Based Meat — Beyond Meat

  • In early 2020, Welldone, a producer of plant-based meat from beans, received 60 million rubles from the Aintrigud fund (affiliated with NMGK) and three other investors.

  • In mid-2020, "Efko," the largest player in the oil and fat industry, invested 100 million rubles in the development and pilot production of alternative soy products, and later announced investments of up to 4 billion rubles to scale the project.

  • In March 2021, food giant Danone launched the production of plant-based beverages under the Alpro brand, with investments in the project reaching 1 billion rubles.

At the same time, experts from BCG and Blue Horizon see the greatest potential in the Asia-Pacific region — a region with a large population, growing prosperity, and a high need for nutritious food. By 2035, this region is expected to account for two-thirds of global protein consumption.

Investment Projects

Over the past few years of research and development, we have achieved unique results in the production of plant-based protein raw materials from industrial hemp seeds. We have created a unique technology and equipment for processing industrial hemp seeds in a unified production cycle. The project is currently in the active construction phase and is planned to be launched in July 2022. Our plant will produce the following products:

Our Own Project

Our Production:

  • Plant-based Milk (A unique technology, unprecedented worldwide. Patented by us. The pilot plant’s production volume exceeds 1,200 tons per month);
  • Plant-based Protein Concentrate, water-soluble, with over 71% protein and a unique amino acid composition (A product with no analogues worldwide. Production volume exceeds 40 tons per month);
  • Oils, extracts, emulsions
  • Fiber
  • Hemp flour
  • Kernels

This factory will serve as a pilot facility, demonstrating to potential investors the efficiency, uniqueness of our technology, and profitability, to attract investment for further implementation of similar projects in the USA and the European Union.
